Blue River is an incorporated town directly south of Breckenridge - a hike or bike ride to the center of downtown - that starts with Spruce Valley Ranch and the Crown and extends south to Timber Creek Estates and McCullogh Gulch, east and west of Highway 9, respectively.


The River Itself

The Blue River runs through this small, residential town and provides beautiful wetlands and a lake that is open to all residents - Goose Pasture Tarn. Many of the neighborhoods in Blue River are heavily forested, are situated around creeks that flow into the Blue River and offer views of Baldy and Boreas Mountains to the east, or Quandary and the rest of the Tenmile Range to the west.
